Lucky 13: Devotees of the bloody adventures of Jason Voorhees—the hockey mask–wearing, machete-wielding, indestructible psychopath who has been hacking up teenagers since 1980—will be ravenous for Friday the 13th: The Ultimate Collection, coming in October from Paramount Home Entertainment. The set includes the complete canon of the Friday the 13th films, plus bonus selections of deleted scenes, making-of featurettes, and commentary. The boxed set also comes with two pairs of 3-D glasses for F13 Part 3–3D, a replica of Jason’s hockey mask, and an eight-page booklet. Suggested retail price is $39.99, so it is affordable for libraries and series fans.

I want my Brit TV: Acorn Media has launched Acorn TV, a streaming service that will bring to American audiences on demand its award-winning British mysteries and dramas, including Upstairs Downstairs, Brideshead Revisited, The Far Pavilions, Foyle’s War, Agatha Christie’s Poirot, and The Forsyte Saga. According to Acorn, subscribers can get “unlimited access to all of the episodes in each selected season.” The programs are accessible via PC, iPhone, iPad, and any other portable device with a browser that runs Flash 10 or higher, Apple TV, or Google TV. Other players will be added throughout the year.—Mike Rogers
