Sep 15, 2011Vicki Builta has been hired as Manager of Library Services, Daleville Community Library, IN, after serving 33 years as School Librarian, Anderson Community Schools, IN.
Femi Cadmus is the new Edward Cornell Law Librarian & Associate Dean for Library Services, Cornell University Library, Ithaca, NY. She was Associate Director for Administration and Lecturer in Legal Research, Lillian Goldman Law Library, Yale University, New Haven, CT./p>
Cory Dickason is the new Youth Services Manager, Octavia Fellin Public Library, Gallup, NM. She previously was School Librarian, Brichta Elementary School, Tucson, AZ.
Peggy Johnson has retired after 34 years at the University of Minnesota Libraries, Minneapolis, most recently as Associate University Librarian. She served as 1999–2000 President of the American Library Association’s Association for Library Collections and Technical Services (ALCTS) division and was the recipient of the 2009 ALCTS Ross Atkinson Lifetime Achievement Award.
Charlotte Johnston is the new Director, Harvin Clarendon County Library, Manning, SC, replacing the retiring Marilyn Tsirigotis. Johnston previously was Children’s Services Coordinator, Dorchester County Library System, St. George, SC.
Charles Lowry will retire at the end of December 2012 as Executive Director, Association of Research Libraries (ARL), a position he has held since 2008. Before coming to ARL, Lowry was Dean of Libraries, University of Maryland College Park (1996–2008). He retired from UM in 2010.
Fang Wan is now Assistant Librarian, Emerging Technology and Engineering, at Scholes Library, Alfred University, NY. She previously was Reference Assistant, Grainger Engineering Library and Information Center and Web Portal Administrator and Programmer, Asian Library, both at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
Richard Hume Werking has retired from the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD, after serving for 20 years as Library Director and Professor of History.
